About Ahnalee Brincks

Ahnalee Brincks is a prevention scientist whose work examines heterogeneity in intervention response, especially in the context of substance use and mental illness. Her research includes methodological contributions to causal mediation analysis and the design of adaptive interventions using SMARTs. She has been affiliated with d3c since 2017 and serves as an instructor for programs such as CATIE. With collaborators Kym Ahrens (Seattle Children’s Research Institute) and Kevin Haggerty (University of Washington) Dr. Brincks is currently working on a NIDA-funded SMART experiment designed to build a sequenced, possibly adaptive, substance use preventive intervention for youth involved in the legal system in the state of Washington.
