Introduction to Adaptive Interventions

This module is intended to provide researchers with an introduction to adaptive interventions. You will learn (a) how to define adaptive interventions, (b) why adaptive interventions are useful, and (c) a set of guidelines for developing adaptive interventions.

Introduction to Sequential, Multiple Assignment, Randomized Trial (SMART) Designs

This module is intended to provide researchers with an introduction to the Sequential, Multiple Assignment, Randomized Trial (SMART) design. You will learn how to (a) determine whether you should use a SMART, (b) define a SMART, (c) understand the basic principles of a SMART design, and (d) calculate the sample size for three common Primary Aims in a SMART.

Introduction to the Multiphase Optimization Strategy (MOST)

This course is aimed at intervention scientists working in any area–including public health, education, criminal justice, and others—interested in learning about an innovative framework for conducting intervention research.
