About Shiyu Zhang
Shiyu Zhang is a Research Investigator at the Institute for Social Research and a member of the d3center. Her research focuses on understanding and addressing missing data in micro-randomized trials, with the goal of improving the design and quality of data used to inform future adaptive interventions. She currently leads a pilot project aimed at developing innovative strategies to reduce missingness in momentary assessments of substance use. She completed her PhD in the Michigan Program in Survey and Data Science at the University of Michigan and holds graduate degrees in data science, human migration studies, and sociology from Utrecht University, Tilburg University, and the University of Chicago.
