Opioid Ideation Session

Thursday October 27, 2022

University of Michigan

Participants

  • Inbal Nahum-Shani, PhD
  • Daniel Almirall, PhD

The University of Michigan Office of the Vice President for Research, in partnership with Michigan Medicine, is exploring the creation of a campus-wide central initiative to coalesce our strengths around opioid research.

U-M faculty who have conducted research related to opioid use, treatment, and/or prevention have been invited to participate in the development of this initiative by attending an ideation session that will focus on the following goals:

Define areas of research opportunity– Determine which areas of opioid research inquiry, based on the responses from a U-M community survey and collaborative work at the session, will inform the initial focus of the initiative.

Identify needed resources and support – Determine what resources are needed to facilitate and expedite the identified research opportunities.

Catalyze partnerships – Seed nascent collaborations and potential networks around opioid research questions and hypotheses.
