Michelle H. Moniz, MD, MSc is the John R. G. Gosling Legacy Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Associate Professor and physician-investigator in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Moniz is Director, the Obstetrics Initiative, (a statewide quality collaborative with 65 hospitals improving maternity care quality and outcomes in Michigan) and Co-Director, the Michigan Program on Value Enhancement (which bridges the gap between implementation science and operational quality improvement at Michigan Medicine). She is a board-certified generalist obstetrician-gynecologist with over 15 years in clinical practice. Dr. Moniz’s long-term career goal is to embed evidence into reproductive health policy and practice to improve outcomes for all. Dr. Moniz leads a U01 (MPI) to evaluate guidelines for postpartum pain management using a randomized non-responder trial and an R01 (PI) to optimize an adaptive implementation intervention for labor induction using a SMART.
